Hennessey + Ingalls Hollywood echoes the design intent of the original Santa Monica location by incorporating a simple layout into an exposed structure with books as the main display feature.

Located on the corner of an existing warehouse space, the store features an exposed bow string truss roof and concrete floors. A continuous ribbon of maple plywood display casework wraps around exterior walls and transforms into a frame around exterior windows. Uplights located in the casework wash over the exposed brick walls and energy efficient linear light fixtures compliment the original wood ceiling.
