Originally the timber storage warehouse on the site, the James Perse Malibu store features exterior black stained siding, contrasted with the warmly illuminated white interior. Tall painted oak cabinetry, reclaimed teak flooring and exposed wood ceiling add to the beach house atmosphere of the space.

Large louvered doors extend the entire length of the storefront. The louvers are adjustable to manipulate light entering the space. The doors pivot, open and stack to enable a seamless transition between the interior of the store and the exterior deck, which serves as an informal merchandise display area and outdoor living room.
