The Malibu Lumber Yard is a sustainability-conscious retail development in Malibu, California. In response to the location’s eco-friendly approach, Marmol Radziner adapted the space for reuse by recreating the building footprint of the original sloped-roof shed. By focusing on a new façade and interior finishes, the firm tailored the building to Maxfield’s needs while avoiding the excessive environmental waste of ground-up construction.
