The construction aspect of our restoration of the Harvey House included the removal of a prior addition and any spaces that felt closed off. In the kitchen, we eliminated all upper cabinetry and created a metal screen that provides a formal separation that retains a visual connection. These changes reopened up the space for a cleaner transition from one area to the next. We added a second master, replastered the pool, and replaced existing Saltillo tile with terrazzo, which we extended to the outdoors to encourage seamless movement from the inside to the outside.
