Located in Aspen, Colorado, the Watson Divide Residence is a 5,500 square foot home set in a high mountain sage meadow. The single story, contemporary home is designed to respond to its natural surroundings and showcase the owner’s art collection.

A balance of formal and open living spaces, the main living area features a wall of glass capturing views of Snowmass Peak and Independence Pass. High thermal mass in the exterior stone clad walls, plus operable clerestory windows facilitate passive heating and cooling. The design responds to its landscape by retaining as much of the native sage as possible.
