Assistant Site Superintendent/Project Engineer

We are seeking skilled Assistant Site Superintendents/Project Engineers to assist in the construction of new high-end custom homes in the Los Angeles area.

The Assistant Site Superintendent/Project Engineer will work directly with the Project Superintendent and Project Manager. The Assistant Site Superintendent/Project Engineer shall report to the Construction Director.

Responsibilities and Duties
The Assistant Site Superintendent/Project Engineer shall assist the project Superintendent in successfully implementing the following tasks:
-Interpretation of detailed construction drawings and specifications and assist in directing the work accordingly
-Be able to communicate clearly and effectively with Subcontractors, Architects, Inspectors and other team members
-Maintaining strong positive team environment between all project members
-Managing, orchestrating, monitoring and documenting all site activities on a daily basis
-Assist in creating schedules
-Assist in creating and managing Submittal and Procurement logs
-Assist in the review and processing of shop drawings
-Assist in creating and maintain short term project look ahead schedules
-Scheduling all on-site activities and site inspections
-Manage project changes on site and be responsible for distributing current project information to all trades
-Maintaining project information on site in an organized manner
-Assist in layout and coordination of tradesmen on site
-Assist in the coordination of design, engineering and for site utilities
-Assist in creating and managing Requests for Information
-Assist in managing punch-lists and project closeout documentation

Qualifications
-1-5 years or more experience in a construction related field
-Knowledge of sitework, infrastructure and building systems
-Strong desire to learn and work in a fast paced, design heavy; collaborative environment executing complicated projects at a very high level
-Willingness to work with and take direction from other team members
-Good organizational skills and good verbal and written communication skills
-Proficiency inĀ email, Excel, and willing to learn Microsoft Project, Blue Beam

Other Considerations/Qualifications
-College degree or Technical training
-Internships in design or construction related industries
-Prior trade experience
