Designed and built in tandem with the restoration of Richard Neutra’s 1946 Kaufmann House, the Harris Pool House represents a contemporary vision within a Modernist setting. The Harris Pool House provides a venue for family activities not accommodated by the original home, including a state-of-the-art audiovisual system, gym, and steam room.
Features including sliding-glass panels and exterior steel canopies support Neutra’s vision of life in the desert being a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor living. The close proximity of the Harris Pool House to the Kaufmann House promotes an architectural dialogue.
