Located in Pasadena, California, the Clark House was originally designed by Richard Neutra in 1957. The project was focused on restoring the original structure, reviving the landscape planting and pool terrace, and gently upgrading the interior for modern living.
Working with little original documentation for the house, the existing carport was restored to its original function from an enclosed garage. Damaged wood veneer casework was repaired and modified to accommodate modern amenities. Originally covered in carpet, the existing concrete slab was modified to integrate an underfloor HVAC system, then restored to a polished waxed concrete finish.
