Located in The Oaks enclave of the Hollywood Hills, the Stansfield-Speaks Residence encompasses the complete interior remodel of a 4000 square foot residence and 1500 square foot guest house, originally designed by architect Robert Byrd in the 1930s.

Inspired by the juxtaposition of the old and new, the modern loft feel of the kitchen and family area was achieved through removing the floor structure above, creating a dramatic two storey volume. The free standing guest house remodel was approached with a more traditional aesthetic, with interior finishes including herringbone walnut floors, cherry cabinetry and handmade Heath tile.
