We retained as much of the original material as possible and removed all of the additions that had been added over time. In places where no historic material remained, we used both archival and on-site archaeological research to determine the original products and construction methods that Richard Neutra used. For every original building component that remained, we either cleaned or repaired the material for reuse, and if all else failed, we replaced it.
