We stacked and embedded the garage and studio into the hillside. The studio sits slightly askew to provide a more direct view of the rear garden. To counterbalance this skewed alignment, the façade at the studio’s back entrance slants forward rather than standing perpendicular to the ground. The roof terrace provides a view of Santa Monica Canyon.
