Inspired by the philosophy of Alice Waters and her Edible Schoolyard program in Berkeley, California, this new children’s learning center includes a teaching garden, seed propagation house, and shaded outdoor classroom. The single-story structure houses a teaching kitchen and adjacent learning area that opens onto a raised-bed garden and orchard. Exterior building materials include corrugated metal siding, wood siding, custom metal awnings and exposed steel framing.
