We based the planting palette for this infill home on native Californian and Mediterranean species to create a lush but low-water-use landscape. Dense olive and strawberry trees ground the architecture while providing privacy for the garden. On the second level, an expansive green roof surrounds a roof deck that offers views of the ocean.
