Our design for this 975-square-foot enclosed courtyard space required sensitivity to scale, light, and topography. The courtyard features plant materials with subtle texture and color variations that create a sense of depth. The organic plant forms contrast with the rectilinear lines of the gravel terraces used to manage the grade changes.
