Our design for TBWA Chiat Day’s 27,000-square-foot, multi-story office in San Francisco’s Embarcadero District was inspired by the history of the site as a city port. Curved forms reminiscent of ship hulls act as a counterpoint to the existing volume of the brick warehouse. Double-height volumes and suspended meeting spaces emphasize the vertical connection between floors.
