We designed this residence to maximize available space and opportunities for indoor-outdoor activity on a narrow lot. The design investigates ideas of materiality, light, proportion, and texture. Two offset rectangular volumes at opposite edges of a long flat site are bridged by a sunken kitchen overlooking a pool that visually unites the building forms.
